Kyele is the most frightening of the Jutak warriors, but the one with whom Joni has the closest connection.

It was a pleasure to watch their story unfold with all its complexities. As the story progresses, there are more encounters with the Marenians. Our Jutak heroes are awesome; the women they love are strong. Joni is particularly fierce in her defense of those she loves. There are encounters with Kyele's father as well. Excellent scenes! Since not everything is resolved with the Marenians, I presume there will be more stories to to tell. I'm SO looking forward to it!

This story is one of her best. I waited patiently and it was worth it.

Kyle was always going to be a dark horse, and his origins show us clearly why he was sort of the Jutak bogeyman. Finding him with this huge vulnerability was surprising. His continual refusal to accept it was teeth grindingly frustrating. But it was good. So good.

Joni was complex. Her fear of being taken again and her obsession with learning to protect herself reminded me of someone very dear to me. I completely adore Joni.

I admit, I was frightened when Kyele took off to avenge Joni, but it wound up very well, in the end, for both of them. Read the book, you will not regret it. I'm loving each story in this series.
This is now the 4th book in the series, and sometimes an author can lose sight of a series, and the series itself starts to go downhill, (and I am sure there are so many of you that will agree with me on this point). BUT, not in this case, the Jutak warrior's stories are varied and keeps you guessing on what strengths they have and what they can do, which keeps it so damn interesting. I loved Joni and how strong she was and also the struggles she went through, and the same with Kyele. I am not going to give it away, The story speaks for itself.

I loved Kyele's Passion and not just for his particular story, but also because at the end of the story we catch up with all my other favourite characters, which I can tell you was an absolute delight, I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Michelle Howard you just keep getting better and better and I look forward to reading about ALL the characters and still keeping in touch with the others.
This is the first book I've read in this series and was pleasantly surprised that I found it interesting enough that I would like to read the other books to find out more about the back story of the secondary characters. While there is explicit sex, it's not wall to wall and there is a story to catch my interest. Kyele is a member of the Jutaks which is a police force made up of different aliens. His father was a Spectar General commanding thousands of his people and his mother was a human sex slave who died trying to escape with him. His father really loved his mother and if they had more time I think he would have won her affection. Joni Miller is a human who was kidnapped by slavers and sold several times and was ultimately freed by the Jutaks. Kyele and Joni are both attracted to each other , but Kyele doesn't feel worthy to have Joni as a Chosen so there is the usual want but can't have scenario between them and the possessiveness Kyele has toward any male that gets too close to Joni. Joni is no victim, instead she wants to be trained in self defense and stands her ground when threatened. Both strong characters makes for an attractive story.
This review is going to be short and sweet. I have thoroughly enjoyed this whole series and Kyele's Passion is no different. We not only get to read Kyele and Joni's story but get to catch up with all of our favorite characters from books past. What is clear to me if you look deep enough is that this series is not just a sci-fi romance but a story about overcoming adversity in the face of possibly losing everything, it's about finding family, finding love, and about learning to trust. The story is entertaining, suspenseful, and delivers a new power couple to the Jutak warrior family for true fans of the series to enjoy. I can't wait to see what Michelle has in store for these Jutak warriors next.
This is the 4th book in Michelle Howard's "A World Beyond" series and the books just keep getting better! The basis for each of the stories is the heroine is from Earth in the future, where a nasty virus has killed most of the men. Having found that 90% of alien races are compatible with Earth women, the government has started a Singles Program ("SP") where the women can migrate to other worlds to become wives to alien men.

However, the Marenians, another alien race, are into slavery, especially sex slavery, and they have captured some of the SP ships and enslaved the women. The Jutak Warriors are essentially the policemen of many worlds and part of their job is to stop the slavery, especially when any of the women chosen by them, or their women's friends, are involved.

In this book, Joni Miller, the h of the story, has recently been rescued by the Jutaks. Her friend who was also rescued, has joined with one of the Jutak Warriors. Joni is extremely interested in Kyele, another Jutak, but can't seem to get him to drop all his walls and admit that he wants her. Kyele really wants Joni as well, but has to deal with some trust issues and some confidence issues. The story has some exciting twists and turns as the two overcome their individual issues and the forces trying to kill them to reach their HEA.

I've really enjoyed the author's descriptions of some of the alien races and their capabilities. I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I'm also going to try some of her other books.
