Author Victoria Pitts-Caine includes mystery, romance, and a secret in Alvarado Gold, all the things that make for a good read. Verses from Ecclesiastes aid the heroine, Addie Brown, in her search to find a soulmate, a family treasure, and herself. Alvarado Gold is easy to read and enjoyable from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.
I'm always looking for books that are inspirational and uplifting. Victoria Pitts-Caine's Alvarado Gold fills the bill quite nicely. The story is well-researched and well-written, and suitable for children of all ages. Let's hope she has a new book in the works for us.
Ms. Caine takes an old family tale and weaves it into an adventure Christian Romance. The enriching novel reminds us of the value of family and the deeper meaning of life and that love bloom where we least expect it.
Ms. Pitts-Caine does an excellent job bringing to life a family mystery, adding in history along with biblical references. I appreciate the author's ability to create a good story in such a way that adults can enjoy it, but the book can be left out for the teenage grandchildren if they choose to read it.

I hope to see more books in the near future from this refreshing author. Her attention to details shows she spent her time well during her research of this era.
This was he first book I have read of MS Pitts, but it won't be the last. Fast pace kept me in suspense till the end. It was about finding REAL gold. Surprise ending.
I read ALVARADO GOLD sometime back and greatly enjoyed it, and seeing it featured on , I just had to leave a review.
What I like most about it is that the prose is clear and drew me into the story right away. Ms. Caine's characters are solid and believable, making the reader empathize with them. The story, too, seems real and never contrived. Too many books out there today go over the top trying to cram in all kinds of complications to the story. ALVARADO GOLD gave me just what I wanted A real story with real characters, making it real good. Five stars.
From page one I like the characters, especially Addie Brown, a young lady in search of happiness. The book takes you on a wonderful adventure and tosses a mystery in the mix. The author’s story of a lost fortune in gold is clean and inspirational. The clues laced through-out the novel has you guessing your way to the awesome ending.
